2010 PREP GEAR SECOND TEAM ALL-AMERICANS
Catcher -- ROY MOULDER One of the top catchers last year at Pro-Day Showcases. Look for him improve on his remarkable 1.84 POP time this year. The 5-11, 190 lb. 2010 graduate is from Milton, FL. Recorded an 8 on his arm and accuracy with a 7.5 at the plate. The added bonus is his 6.80 speed.
First Base -- GREG HOWARD The 6-0, 220 lb junior from Gordo, AL. was a standout at the showcases last year. Possess a
tremendous bat with power to all fields. A good corner man with an excellent glove and arm to go along with his 6.98 speed in the 60 yard dash.
Second Base -- DAVID TODD A senior from Theordore, AL was one of the top hitters of 2009. Expect big things in the 2010 season. David scored 7's across the board, with the exception of hitting which was an 8.
Shortstop -- JOHN SANSONE A 5-11, 178 lb. sophomore from New Castle, PA has all the tools to advance to the next level. Three years of high school competition left, John scored all 7's with an impressive 8 on hitting. Posted a 7.01 in the 60 yard dash.
Third Base -- DEVIN REED One of the top hitters going into 2010 season, Reed a senior from Citronelle, AL has the tools for the hot corner. Scored 8 on his hitting and possess awesome power at the plate. The 5-11, 185 lb. packs a muscular body with strength in all areas of his game.
Left Field -- ABRAHAM WILLIAMS Look to be a top outfielder this season not only in Texas, but the south. The 5-8, 165 lb. senior from Lindale, TX can motor with a 6.83 time in the 60. Scored 8's in arm, glove, footwork while recording a 7 in hitting.
Right Field -- BRIAN ROWRY One of the top prospects in Alabama this year. A senior from Gardendale, AL stands at 6-3 and 205 lbs. Runs an impressive 7.03 with his size and possess one of the top bats this year in the state. Very powerful right handed hitter, can hit to all fields. Scored 8 at the plate and with his arm.
Pitcher -- TRENT ROBERTS The 6-2, 195 lb. righthand pitcher, a sophomore from Monticello, FL tops out at 86 mph already with a 76 mph curveball. Will be one of Florida's top prospects in 2012. Scored all 7's on his skills and hitting.
Pitcher -- JARED ROMERO A senior from Tallahassee, FL possess an 88 mph fastball. The 6-0, 198 lb. righthander scored 8's on his arm, footwork and bat. A great hitter with quick hands and tremendous bat speed, which can spell doom to pitchers he'll face this year.
Pitcher -- BLAKE LATIOLAIS A diamond in the rough, this young man has it all. A 5-11, 165 lb. sophomore from New Iberia, LA has all the tools. The lefthander hit 88 mph with his fastball and will only get faster. Scored 8's across the board, with a 7.5 on hitting from the left side. When not on the mound, plays outfield and can run down any ball with his 6.76 speed.
Pitcher -- JOHN TAYLOR A 6-4, 180 lb. junior from Toccoa, GA will be on the top righthand pitchers from the south in 2011. Already has a 89 mph fastball with a 78 mph curve. Scored 8 on arm and accuracy, with 7's across the board.
Ultility -- JAKE PALMISANO The 6-1, 185 lb. senior from Mandeville, LA can play 3B/OF and do it well. Scored 8's on his arm and accuracy with 7's across the board on the rest. Great pop in his bat, possess good bat speed and will hit to all fields.
Designated Hitter -- NICHOLAS NEELY This lefthand hitter from Holcomb, MS can do it all. Scored 8 on his hitting at the All-American showcase. This junior plays 1B/P and can play first with the best of them. Throws in the 82-84 mph range and willl improve those numbers through his high school career.
